JAAS Advanced Manufacturing Software (JAMS) was written to integrate seamlessly with Microsoft Dynamics® SL, an award winning application suite.  JAMS uses both the financial and distribution modules of Microsoft Dynamics SL to provide a comprehensive solution. By leveraging Microsoft Dynamics SL's flexible architecture, JAMS has created an environment that is easy to manage, yet powerful. JAMS readily provides the information needed by manufacturers to remain profitable in a changing and competitive marketplace.

JAMS is a series of application modules designed to provide real time enterprise solutions for many different types of manufacturers. The principles of JAAS have over 100 years of experience in the design and implementation of manufacturing systems.  When combined with Microsoft Dynamics SL, JAMS provides the most cost effective manufacturing system in the mid-range market today.

BILL OF MATERIAL/ROUTING

This module is the core of the JAMS modules. Through this module the user creates the production specifications, which become the framework for the planning functionality in other JAMS modules.

PRODUCTION MANAGEMENT

Production Management is where the work gets done.  This module includes the primary maintenance for the Production Orders, all of the Production Transactions, and several comprehensive inquiries and reports to manage the production process.  This module integrates with the Solomon Inventory, General Ledger and Project modules.

MATERIAL REQUIREMENTS PLANNING (MRP)

You say that you are too small to run an MRP system? MRP systems are difficult to setup and run?  MRP systems are only for those large companies?  Not anymore!  The JAMS MRP module brings complex MRP functionality to small and medium sized organizations. All companies can benefit from the planning that MRP can provide. The module has been designed to be easy to setup and easy to use.

CAPACITY REQUIREMENTS PLANNING (CRP)

The CRP module provides an easy interface for planners to monitor the capacity load of their production environment.  The information is displayed cleanly through a series of Gantt and Bar charts.  The Scheduler Workpad shows the Scheduler only the problem spots based on threshold levels that they have set themselves.  The module was designed to allow the scheduler to drill down to the specific issues and gives them the ability to address the issue right there.

PRODUCT CONFIGURATOR

Product Configurator is a "rules based system" designed around features and options logic. When the Product Configurator is used, the options included for the manufacturer's customers are enforced at order time. Thus eliminating the need to predefine all possible configurations of options as unique inventory item numbers and preventing the release of materials for incorrect items. The Product Configurator module is fully integrated into the JAMS Production Management module.

RELEASE ACCOUNTING

The Release Accounting module enables companies to deploy resources to other value added activities instead of data entry while improving order accuracy, planning and scheduling. This module enables EDI documents to flow seamlessly into and out of JAMS so your ERP system can facilitate EDI compliant business processes including the generation of the Advanced Ship Notice and customer-specific Bar Code labels.
